New Year's Eve Wedding

This New Year's Eve was especially fun with Andrea and Yale on their wedding day. They were married at Trinity United Methodist and gathered with their friends and family at the Brown Palace for a rockin' good time. Check out their photos here.

I am glad that we had the time before the ceremony to photograph the bridal party downtown. We paraded around Union Station and over the Millenium Bridge capturing some great moments.

They are going to Thailand for their honeymoon. My best advice for them since I recently traveled there was to beware of the street vendor food! Thanks for a great time guys. - Ryan

Downtown Denver Wedding

My latest wedding was with Arthur and Theresa in downtown Denver. It was an intimate ceremony at beautiful St. Paul's Methodist church. Their friends joined them afterward for sushi and sake at Opal Restaurant. Theresa and Arthur braved the snow as we walked through LoDo getting some shots with the Christmas lights on Larimer. Below are a few of the photos from their day. Go here to see more from their wedding.
Happy New Year!

New Wedding and Portrait portfolio

We love being wedding and portrait photographers in Colorado. We have so many great locations to photograph that special moment. One day we can be parading down the sidewalks of LoDo with a bridal party and the next week we find ourselves planted in a tranquil meadow in the Rocky Mountains capturing that ceremonial first kiss. Whether we are with a high school senior nailing that all-important yearbook photo or capturing the moments shared between a family and their newborn child, we push ourselves to explore and refine a unique perspective. We are grateful to everyone that we have worked with over the last year and look forward to seeing them again!

Below are some of our favorite photos from the year. Go here for our new wedding portfolio. Go here for our new portrait portfolio.

Merry Christmas!

Dykes Family Portrait

My most recent shoot at Washington Park was filled with snowball fights, sniffling noses and the happy Dykes family. Yuki and Anna bundled up their two daughters, Ilani and Mya for the portrait shoot in Wash Park. We had fun tromping through the morning snow. The girls quickly targeted Yuki and Anna with snowballs and kisses. Follow this link to see more of the fun.

Time for a break to warm up the hands!

Randi at Red Rocks

My latest photo shoot was a bridal portrait session with Randi. Her and her fiance Mark are getting married next week in the warm Caribbean. They both studied geology in school so what better way to show off the dress than at Red Rocks!

The temperature didn’t get above freezing that day. I'm sure they are looking forward to warmer temperatures at their wedding! Between takes, Mark and her mother wrapped her up in a nice warm parka.

Below are some shots from the day. If you want to see more, you can check out the rest of the shoot here.

Talk soon...Ryan

Red Rocks engagment session

Ryan here! My latest engagement session was at Red Rocks with Ken and Marshawn and their two dogs. It was a beautiful winter day. On days like this lighting is a challenge because of the low and bright winter sun. By balancing the ambient light and using my fill flash, I was able to expose for the background while filling in any harsh shadows on their faces. Ken was in the bridal party of one of my previous weddings. I owe him big because he saved my car from getting towed that day! I was photographing the wedding party at Millenium Bridge in downtown Denver and my car was improperly parked. Before the officer had a chance to write me up, Ken grabbed my keys and moved it in the nick of time. Thanks Ken!

Below are some of my favorites. You can view all the photos from the shoot here.

They are getting married in June at Terrace Gardens at Dove Valley. Check back to see the photos from the big day this summer.
